About MIRA

Mira was born from the minds but above all from the hearts of three guys with such a boundless passion for their motherland that they dreamt of offering it and transporting it beyond the limits of its territory.

The Maremma beyond its history:
As a tribute to its origins, the model name 'Maremma', the colour designations 'Nera' (like the marsh it once was), 'Amara' (the most recurrent of epithets), 'Striata' (like the coat of the widespread wild boar) and the squared shape inspired by the geometry of cultivated fields, vineyards and the battlements of the Capalbio castle, the beating heart of the project.

Last but not least, the common desire to create unique and authentic products made by expert hands and with only and exclusively Italian materials, thus earning the 100% Made In Italy label.

But the journey has just begun...

NATURAL MATERIALS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP

It takes no less than forty-eight manual steps to make an acetate frame that is always a unique piece. Small details and differences in colour make each product witness to a quality sought after through the exclusivity of craftsmanship.
Every single production step is carried out by artisans, with maniacal attention to detail and respecting all the values of the 100% made in Italy tradition.

From the synthesis of cotton and cellulose pulp comes the acetate sheets that Mira selects and uses to give life to a unique, resistant and long-lasting product.

One of the strengths of cellulose acetate is in fact its resistance and elasticity, it does not deteriorate or fade and is naturally non-toxic and non-polluting.

INSPIRED BY A MAGICAL PLACE
The materials chosen, the shapes and every other detail have been selected to represent the Maremma in all its facets.

A unique land with a historically contrasting character, today a perfect microcosm in which sea, hills, scrubland and mountains merge together, blunt and unpredictable, to create a rare and inimitable place.
